Youtube Took Actions Against Ad Blocking Ads, asks Users To Upgrade To Premium

You are watching a movie on Youtube, and Ads are coming in between, this definitely spoils the fun of watching the movie, right? If you want that ads should not come in between the movie, then for this you should take premium membership. By upgrading to premium, ads will stop coming in between.

Youtube has taken appropriate action against such third party apps which violate their API terms and conditions and provide ad free video streaming facility to the audience.

Why is YouTube cracking down on ad blockers?

Youtube has cracked down on such third party apps which are providing ad blocker facility to the audience because this was affecting the earning of the company. Company said that due to ad blocker third party, big companies are shying away from giving ads on Youtube, the reason is that when no one will watch ads on Youtube, then how will the company’s product be promoted.

YouTube said that that the use of this third party app also affects video buffering and video quality. It said that any member who wants to watch videos without ads should upgrade to YouTube’s premium membership. In India, the monthly price of Premium membership is Rs 129 per month, Rs 399 for 3 months  and Rs 1290 for 1 year. Ad Blocker facility is available on taking premium membership.

Is it legal for YT to block ad blockers?

If you block YouTube advertising using a third party, then Streaming Giant will block the video playback, that is, now you will not be able to watch videos on YouTube. If you want to watch ad free videos, then you will have to take Premium membership.
