Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout fails to entertain as a thriller.

Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout fails to entertain as a thriller.

Manoj Bajpayee is again back with his action series Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout. Released on 16th April,  on ZEE5, the movie had great potential but it failed to entertain as a crime thriller.

‘Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout’  at first glance, seems to be a politically motivated movie, but as we uncover more details, the ACP suspects the target might be someone else. How Azma Khan, one of the victims was shot suddenly piques his interest and he investigates more. In Jaipur, another city, a woman gets shot dead in a remote area. Now, ACP Verma is contacted for advice since the murder way seems very unusual like the previous case. Now the question is if these two deaths are connected or not.

As we uncover more details and the deaths in the cases start piling up, the cases seem to be more and more connected. ACP Verma and his team, including Inspector Sanjana Bhatia, played by Prachi Desai, get committed to getting to the bottom of things so that they don’t lose any more victims or get targeted.

Much of ‘Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout’ relies on the acting of Manoj Bajpayee’s acting. ACP Verma is the main lead and it is he who will eventually solve everything.  As the team dives deeper, some dark truths are split.

The movie does try to add something to ACP Verma’s lonely personal life, but it is left to the viewer’s thoughts and is left unexplored. However, despite the story, the biggest drawbacks are somehow the misplaced odd camera angles and close-ups. The editing has been choppy in quite a few places which obviously cut down on the movie’s watch time.

Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout has a narrative that is detailed yet so stretchy in some places and while we do get unpredictable plot twists, it does not entirely convince the story and leaves unanswered questions.
