Finally, a series on the horrific hijack that ever happened is out.  Netflix released its awaited series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack.  The series is about the longest hijack of Indian history. IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack is produced by Matchbox Shots along with Benaras Mediaworks.  The talented Anubhav Sinha has directed the series, inspired by real events.

Inspired by the book Flight and Fear written by Captain Devi Sharan and Srinjoy Chowdhury, the series describes the negotiations between the government and the hijackers at Kandahar’s Negotiation Station.

The show has talented actors like Vijay Varma as the pilot, alongside Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, Arvind Swamy, and Dia Mirza, among others. It is created by Anubhav Sinha and Trishant Srivastava. The cast and crew have worked superbly.  The trailer of IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack  is filled with amazing effects and powerful dialogue delivery 

The 176-second trailer of the series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack unveils the longest hijack in history.  Various clips of intense scenes have developed interest among the viewers. According to the hijacking history of IC 814, 190 people were hostages including crew members,  military people and passengers. The dramatic events inside the aircraft will give a clear picture of the horrifying incident.

The pilot was in a state of dilemma. He was confused about whether to follow the instructions of the books written about the hijacking rules or do as per his wish. He flew the aircraft from Kathmandu to Amritsar, then to Lahore, where it was refuelled, then to Dubai and finally to Kandahar, Afghanistan. The people remained hostages for about seven days.

Prepare to witness the unveiling of the true story of Indian Airlines Flight 814 (IC 814), which was hijacked by five terrorists on December 24, 1999, just 40 minutes after taking off from Kathmandu, Nepal. The most anticipated limited series is to be out on 29th August.
