iPhone and Android do not guarantee you 100% protection from the apps present on their respective platforms that this app is a fraud, but by adopting some tips you can avoid installing fake apps.

How to identify fake app?

1. Keep distance from third party store apps
To avoid fake apps, always install only those apps which are available on Google’s Play Store and iPhone’s iOS Store. Do not install apps from any other third party store app. Do not install the app which Google has removed from its Google Play Store by going to Google Chrome.

2. Keep distance from scam apps
Do not install scam apps on your Android phone or iPhone. Google Play Store and iPhone have given a list of fake apps on their Play Store. Install the official app only after identifying that list

3. Do not install apps by looking at ratings and reviews
We all install apps available on Google Play Store and iPhone’s Play Store by looking at their ratings and reviews. However, one should not trust them blindly. Scammers keep their apps in top position through fake reviews and fake ratings so that you trust them.

4. Check the app before installing it
If you use any payment app, keep tracking the app payment from time to time, i.e. keep checking from time to time how many transactions have been done this month. Keep checking whether any fraud has happened with anyone on this app.

5. Do check the permission list
When you install any app from Google Play Store or iPhone Store, it asks for permission in the app. But from time to time you should check the permission list of that app. If it is accessing information for which you have not given permission, then uninstall this app immediately.
