DigiLocker vs Google Wallet: Know the difference and features between them
Google Wallet, launched in the United States in 2022, has now been launched in India as well. Many services of Google are currently active in India like Google Pay, Google Chat, Google Calendar, Google Chrome etc. Google Pay is second after Phone Pay in terms of transactions.
India already has DigiLocker which provides the facility to keep documents. The question is arising in the minds of people that what is the difference between DigiLocker vs Google Wallet.
DigiLocker is an app that provides the facility of e-documents. In this app, it gives 1 GB of storage to keep these documents by taking permission directly from the authority issuing documents like driving license, mark sheet, election card, Aadhar card. It is under the supervision of the Government of India so that there will be no data leakage of anyone.
Google Wallet is Google’s e-document wallet. In which you can keep debit card, credit card, gift card, boarding pass, event ticket, transit pass, flight pass, train ticket, cinema hall ticket.
The biggest difference between DigiLocker vs Google Wallet is that Google Wallet will work only when your smartphone has internet. Google Wallet is not available on Apple’s Play Store iOS.
One thing common between DigiLocker vs Google Wallet is that both are available on Google’s Play Store. You can easily download Google Wallet by visiting Play Store. Sign up through email ID or mobile phone number. After that, the soft copy of bus ticket, metro ticket will be saved in Google Wallet.
An Android phone can have multiple Google accounts. Every different account has a different Google Wallet ID.
