Cheese: Were You Consuming Fake Cheese Till Now? Identify Real And Fake Cheese With These Methods

Cheese is called a treasure of protein. 20 grams of protein is found in 100 grams of cheese. Apart from this, many other micronutrients and vitamins are found in it which are very beneficial for health. Whey protein is found in cheese itself, which is an essential protein in muscle building. Paneer is definitely included in Indian cuisine, but do you know that due to the demand of cheese in the market, people are also selling fake cheese.

Now you must be thinking how to check before buying fake and real cheese, so I will tell you some ways, by adopting these methods you can identify real and fake cheese.

Softness of cheese

  • Fake cheese feels hard when touched with the hand, whereas real cheese which is made of milk feels healthy when touched. Before taking cheese, definitely check with your hand whether the cheese is clean or hard.

Texture of cheese

  • Fake cheese and real cheese can also be identified by looking at the texture of the cheese.  For this, you just have to take the Paneer in your hand and then rub it gently with your hands, if the Paneer becomes crumbly then the Paneer is adulterated, if the Paneer is not crumbly then the Paneer is genuine.

Taste of Paneer

  • You can also identify real and fake Paneer by its taste. For this, you just have to eat Paneer. If Paneer tastes creamy, then Paneer is real. If it tastes different, then Paneer is fake.

Iodine Tincture

  • Real and fake Paneer can also be identified by adding iodine tincture. For this, take water in a bowl and add Paneer pieces and heat it on low flame for 5 minutes. After that, when the water cools down, add iodine tincture. If the color of water turns blue, then Paneer is fake. If the color remains the same, then Paneer is real.

Soybean Powder

  • Real and fake Paneer can be identified by using Soybean Powder. For this, take water in a bowl and heat Paneer by adding it for about 5 minutes. After that, when the water cools down, add soybean powder. If the color of water turns red, then understand that urea has been used in Paneer.
