Impact of Mobile Phone on Users: Harms of High Screen time
We live in the 21st Century and living without a mobile phone has become completely impossible mobiles phones have become an essential part of our lives, affecting us in many ways. In today’s world, everyone is using mobile phones and we don’t have any control over us while using them, as using these devices in excess can cause problems to us.
Our Screen time comprises at least 3 to 4 hours on a daily basis even when just scrolling simply. Let’s look at some points of how our mobile phones are affecting us.
Less Physical Activity
Earlier if we wanted to relax we sat with our friends and family and had a nice time with them, but now this concept has completely changed, the only friend we have is our mobile phone and while using it we sit a lot which is making us lazy.
Device of Distraction
Although our phones help us a lot it is also make our attention span shorter, and make us distracted all the time. We spend a lot of time just scrolling instead of getting things done.
Screen time
Have you ever gone through your phone screen time, you will be surprised, excessive screentime is not just making us lazy but also hurting our eyes badly. In some reports, it is also found that higher phone screen time makes it hard to sleep.
Bad Posture
When we look at our phones we generally bend forward and hunch over this hurts our neck muscles and back, although this can be fixed by regular exercises but if it’s possible then try to sit with a straight back while using your phone.
Affecting us Mentally
Our smartphones are affecting us mentally, we are losing our ability to think reports show that our cognitive thinking ability is decreasing every year. We are also losing our social bonding as now it’s shifted to online, we talk less and face difficulty in talking face-to-face.
Addiction to Smartphones
Phones are so fun that we can’t stop using them, this also makes us feel but, we need to understand that we are getting addicted to them. We need to gain control while using our loved smartphones to reduce our screen time.

Phones are good but we need to use them with a limit, we should focus on doing physical activity, taking breaks and talking to people in real life, that way can become healthier and happier.
